Christy Porter is the founder and director of the Cotillion Academy. Christy is a member of the American Association of Etiquette Professionals, which offers continuing education for those in field of etiquette and cotillion. She meets annually with this group to provide the most current, up to date curriculum possible.

Beginning with a music education career in the public schools, Christy has taught over 4000 teen and pre-teens as well as a variety of higher education and clients in business.

In addition to her work with Cotillion Academy, she maintains an active studio for private music students.

Christy has unique experience based in program development, fundraising and communication. Her focus is writing and teaching curriculum on manners for the 21st century. A love of education and students has also led to founding youth organizations like Denver K Life and working with community groups like the Boy Scouts of America.  Christy also serves on the Board of Directors for Providence Network and the Comdev International.

Christy and her husband Bruce are parents to three adult sons and reside in Centennial CO.
